Monday Montage #36

Happy Monday Montage Day!!! I have just been ACHING to use this Lotus Blossom Photopolymer Set (now available during the Sale-a-Bration promo!)! It's absolutely GORGEOUS!!

I love the combo of black and white with one other color ... and yellow has just been calling my name lately (to be more precise, I used Hello Honey and So Saffron). This winter's weather has been SO UBER WEIRD!! It's almost like it has been winter trying to turn to spring ... we've had a few bouts of FREEZING and SUB-FREEZING temperatures (along with some snow), but mostly we've been very mild ... in the 30's and 40's even!!! I have been LOVING it!!! (It's especially great for running, but I digress ...)

Stamps: Lotus Blossom, Crazy About You
Paper:  Whisper White, Basic Black, So Saffron, Back to Black DSP
Ink:   Hello Honey, So Saffron, Mossy Meadow
Accessories: Ovals Framelits Die, Banner Punch, Hello Honey Satin Stitched Ribbon, Stacked With Love Designer Washi Tape, White Jute Ribbon, Simply Scored, Mini Stapler

I still have an EPIC story I need to share from my adventures in Disneyland back in October ... and I keep putting it off ... I think I will do it for ya this week ... it will prove to y'all once and for all that I truly AM a dork!!

We Freakin' LOVE You!!

Welcome to another edition of the Control Freaks Blog Tour ... this month we are sharing the love ... projects not necessarily for Valentine's Day, but ones that you can give to someone special that ya love!! Did you see what the ever-spectacular Heidi Boos created to share??? LOVELOVELOVE!!!

I seem to be stuck in a "tone-on-tone" phase ... most of my cards for the past while have been made this way.  I just like how clean it looks, I suppose ... and I felt like I was doing the same layout over and over (wait ... I STILL feel like I'm doing that!! Hahahaha!!)!  I created the heart by cutting a base out of Whisper White with one of the hearts from the Hearts Collection Framelits ... then I punched a BUNCH of little flowers out of different colors using the Itty Bitty Accent Flower Punch ... and stuck 'em all over the base heart.  I also LOVED that the little "I Like You" sentiment from the "I Like You" Hostess set fit PERFECTLY in the smaller arrow on the What's Up Punch.  Happy when I figure stuff like this out all by myself!!

Stamps: I Like You
Paper: Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Rose Red, Real Red, Melon Mambo, Pink Pirouette
Ink: Real Red
Accessories: Arrows Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, What's Up Punch, Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack (Flower), Hearts Collection Framelits Die, White Jute Ribbon, Linen Thread, Project Life Corner Rounder Punch

This is pretty basic ... but I LOVE how the little whisps from the White Jute Ribbon show up so well on the black background (I've been pulling this jute apart since I got it ... LOVELOVELOVE this stuff ... SOOOOO much!)!  I layered three of the larger arrows punch with the What's Up punch over the top of each other to make a base for the sentiment (created the pointy tips on the sentiment panel using a square punch).  Kinda fun!

Stamps: Something to Say
Paper: Basic Black, Whisper White, Pink Pirouette, Red Glimmer DSP
Ink: Real Red
Accessories: What's Up Punch, Banner Punch, Itty Bitty Punch Pack (Heart), 1 1/4" Square Punch, Large Polka Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, White Jute Ribbon

Coming next??? The VERY talented and crafty, LeeAnn Greff! Check it out!!

Stamp Review Crew - Valentine Free-for-All!!

This week the Stamp Review Crew is sharin' the love!!! Our task was to make ANYthing ... as long as it was Valentine-y!!! I have always had a "thing" for hearts (I have collected much jewelry and such over the years that is heart shaped). So this is right up my alley!!

First of all, I had to figure out how to use my Envelope Punch Board again!! I am embarrassed to say that I haven't used it for quite a while, so I was feeling kinda dumb ... but it didn't take long at all for me to make the itty-bitty envelope ... and I pulled out ALL the things I have that would cut out hearts for me (well ... maybe not ALL ... but MOST, for sure!!)

I used the small heart from the Hearts A Flutter framelits as well as the smallest heart from the Heart Collection Framelits in tandem with the heart-shaped Itty Bitty Accents punch to make the hearts-within-a-heart ... can you feel the love tonight??

Stamps: Itty Bitty Banners
Paper: Soft Sky, Rose Red, Pacific Point, Blushing Bride, Whisper White, Painted Blooms DSP
Ink: Pacific Point
Accessories: Happy Heart Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Hearts a Flutter Framelits, Heart Collection Framelits, Bitty Banners Framelits, Itty Bitty Accents Punch (heart), Artisan Embellishment Kit (doily), Blushing Bride Chevron Ribbon, Envelop Punch Board

There are a LOT of stops to make along the way with this week's hop ... the "previous" button will take you to Kerry Bray, and the "next" button will take you to Heidi Baks ... SO much talent in BOTH directions, I tell ya!!

Too much fun!
